On September 5th, 2014, Alliance Offshore Drilling (“AOD”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of TSC Group Holdings Limited (“TSC”), entered into a construction contract for the fabrication, construction, equipping, testing, commissioning and delivery of a second R550-D Jack-up Drilling Rig with CSSC Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding Company Limited (“Huangpu Shipyard”).

The R550-D drilling rig is a Zentech design, capable of providing worldwide service in up to 400 feet water depth. TSC will provide an integrated drilling package in addition to overseeing project management, project’s commissioning and service. Previously in December, 2012, TSC and Zentech established strategic cooperation aimed to develop and promote the R550-D rig, in order to meet the rapidly growing market demands for jack-up drilling platforms. Shortly thereafter, in May 2013, TSC and Huangpu Shipyard formally signed a 2+2 agreement for the construction of the R550-D platforms.
