On December 22nd 2014, TSC Group Holdings Limited (“TSC”) entered into a contract with Yantai CIMC Raffles Offshore Engineering Co., Ltd (“CIMC Raffles”) to provide two P18 slew bearing deck cranes for a CR600 deep-water semi-submersible accommodation platform (H307).

The CR600 platform is a deep-water semi-submersible accommodation platform, designed 100% in-house by CIMC Raffles. The platform will be equipped with two 60MT deck cranes and a DP3 dynamic positioning system, boasting an accommodation capacity of 600 people. The living area meets ABS Accommodation Service and MLC2006 class notation requirements. In addition, the platform is aligned with ABS living comfort HAB + (MODU), underwater inspection UWILD classification and UK HSE living area noise and vibration requirements. Once construction is completed, the rig will be capable of operation in Brazil, Gulf of Mexico, West Africa and the North Sea waters.

This order marks a significant milestone in the expansion of TSC’s deep-water capabilities, having provided solutions for a variety platform types. Moreover, the contract serves as an indication of the strengthened partnership between TSC and CIMC Raffles, as CIMC looks to enrich its deep-water semi-submersible product line. TSC looks to continuously expand mutual cooperation in the deep-water sector, going forward.
